Los Arcos, Cabo San Lucas!

Los Cabos is at the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California peninsula. Approaching by air across the Sea of Cortés (which separates the Baja from the rest of Mexico) the visitor first sees contrast: the craggy peaks of the Sierra de la Laguna form a backdrop to miles of golden beach, blue water and dramatic red rock formations; saguaro cactus, palms and cultivated gardens cover the pale gold desert landscape.

Cabo San Lucas is best identified by the image of the world famous rock arch formation "El Arco" where the Pacific meets the warm water of the Sea of Cortes.

Trike flying over Kauai, Hawaii!

Flight control in a trike is by weight-shift. This is similar to controlling a hang glider, in which the aviator or pilot is suspended from the wing made from high-strength aluminium and fabric. Because trikes are most often used for recreational flying by part time pilots, a premium is placed on gentle behavior especially at the stall, natural pitch stability, and ease-of-operation.

Due to their relatively low cost, low fuel consumption, light weight, ability to take off and land in very short distances, and ability to fly in somewhat turbulent conditions, trikes have become popular with recreational pilots. In particular, trikes have been used to fly across oceans, frozen tundra, barren deserts, and even into backyard landing strips.

Giant wave surfing (Mike Parsons at Jaws Beach / Hawaii)!

Mike Parsons (born March 3, 1965) is a surfer sponsored by the Billabong company who famously successfully surfed a 66-foot (22 meters) wave at Cortez Bank, CA in 2001, for which he was awarded $66,000, the highest prize ever awarded in the history of professional surfing. This money was awarded by the Billabong XXL competition which has run since 2001 paying tribute to the biggest waves ridden each year. This feat at Cortez Bank was popularised by the film Billabong Odyssey. Parsons is famous for a video clip of him riding a wave about 65 tall at Jaws, shot from a helicopter, that many believed was the biggest wave ever surfed. Parsons recently broke his record on January 5, 2008, at Cortez Bank, when he was photographed surfing a wave that the Billabong XXL judged to be 70+ feet, which should put him in the Guinness Book of World Records, officially, for biggest wave ever surfed. Unofficially the biggest wave ever surfed remains Ken Bradshaw's wave at Log Cabins, Oahu on January 28, 1998, at over 80 feet.
