Tropical storm conditions were forecast Sunday for areas of the Atlantic coast from northeastern Florida to southern South Carolina as Tropical Storm Beryl approached, forecasters said.
Beryl was slowly gaining intensity on Sunday, according to the National Hurricane Center, and will dump several inches of rain and bring high winds and coastal flooding to the area, putting a damper on the holiday weekend. The storm is forecast to make landfall in northeastern Florida Sunday night.
This was taken about 1:00 p.m. Sunday May 27th at Mickler's Landing in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL before the tropical storm Beryl - not supposed to hit until later tonight.
